Mujib- The founder of Bangladesh
Welcome to a Royal Experience in Indian Culinary.

At different points in its history many Indian culinary practices were still little known outside their regions.
Political boundaries were drawn within the sub continent after independence in 1947, and today,
although one may refer to the cuisine of a political state within India (based largely on language),
the culinary boundaries do not necessarily coincide with the political ones.

As with all cuisine’s, the regional produce forms the base. The Malabar Coast of Kerala with its profusion
of pepper and garam masala spices, use these liberally in cooking. Most, though not all, Kerala food is spicy- hot.
When it is not the case, the restraining hand of brahminism has come into play, as spicy food is said to activate sensuality
and consequently inhibit clear and high thinking.

The food in West Bengal is mild and sweet, while in East Bengal - now Bangladesh – it is much hotter,
though the dishes in both Bengali cuisines are the same. Bengal is a region well known for its friendliness and hospitality,
they are also equally known for their creativity and where people are particular about their food, many Bengali men cook superbly.
Most of the chefs in ‘Indian’ restaurants in the UK come from Bangladesh,
and in particular from Sylhet. Bangladesh contains a wealth of exotic sights, culture and culinary delights.

The food from this region is extremely good, which has given us the inspiration to create some outstanding
mythical masterpieces by the artistry of our chefs. The menu has been put together by our chef de cuisine
Ali (Nazrul) one of the renowned culinary specialist in the industry who also has exclusive culinary knowledge
in different cuisine ranging from Indian, French Provençae, Itallian, Oriental and Thai.

With this menu, we have modernised Indian cuisine, taking it to it’s next level
yet still keeping it’s authentic flavours – but approached in a contemporary fusion manner,
with different accents from around the world added to dishes, making this visit a unique and enjoyable experience.
Our staff are friendly and attentive, it is their aim to ensure that your visit will make a lasting impression.

Mujib of Harrogate – the foundation of a unique merger
between Eastern and Western Cuisine.
